Oof, that ringing sound at the end is what I sometimes randomly hear for a few seconds before it fades away. It’s usually way quieter (because hearing damage yay), but sometimes, it gets super loud for a bit. Her ears must be so messed up from the “bang” part of the flashbang every time she sneezes q-q
Sounds like Tinnitus, she would probably develop it fairly quickly under the circumstances.
Yeah, I’ve had it for more than half of my life. It was scary at first, then annoying, then I got used to it, and even though random spikes still terrify me, I only really notice it at night. Fortunately, I’ve started falling asleep in under half an hour (it used to take me 1-2 hours), so it doesn’t bother me that much any more. Now, if only we didn’t live in such a loud world, maybe it wouldn’t keep slowly getting worse :c
I have that too and it’s so weird. I’ve always had the “ringing ears of silence” since I was little, where if I just sit there, eventually I’ll hear some high ringing. Nowadays it only gets bad if I TRY to focus on it. I never exposed myself to much loud noise without hearing protection (I’ve always had sensitive ears anyway) and I try not to listen to music too loud, so idk why once or twice a month I just get this louder ringing that you describe for a minutes that goes away afterwards.
afaik it doesn’t even have to be loud noises. An ear infection, for example, can cause that kind of ringing, too. Having it once or twice a month is weird, though, I agree. It feels like nothing special has happened when it starts. Maybe it’s like a hiccup and just happens?
